What is my username?

Your username is the email address that you registered with. If you have forgotten your username please email techhelp@awmonline.com.au.

Why can't I search or browse any categories?

Please check that you have a current subscription. Only members with current subscriptions can search for listings.

Click the Subscribe button. If you do not see a subscription, that is why you cannot search. To add a subscription select one of the options on the Subscribe page and follow the prompts.

How do I update a listing from The Australian Writer's Marketplace book?

You should have received an email with your username and password. You can then login and go to 'My Details'. If you click on 'Listings Management' on the left hand side menu, you should see your listings from The Australian Writer's Marketplace. You can edit these listings by clicking the 'Edit' link. You can also add a new listing by clicking the 'Add Listing' button.

Upcoming Competitions/Events

  • Society of Women Writers Short Story Competition
    Max 2,500 words, typed on A4 paper with pen name only. Must be unpublished, and not entered in any other competition. In even-numbered years the competition is for members only. In odd-numbered years the competition is open. Contact the Society for details about competitions and to confirm closing dates, or visit the webpage.
  • Whitsunday Voices - Youth Literature Festival
    Whitsunday Voices is a Youth Literature Festival which aims to heighten the regional community’s appreciation and access to the arts through the presentation of workshops and performances by widely known and local authors, illustrators, poets and cartoonists.
  • Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards (SOYA)
    SOYA is an opportunity for young artists to accelerate their creative careers, in six different categories. Provide at least 3 different examples of your work as high quality hard copies and/or digital versions on CD (if using a Mac please remember to add the file extension). Check out the SOYA website for terms and conditions, and to confirm closing dates. Upload your submission/s on website, or download and fill out a submission form, include samples of your work (please don’t send us originals as submissions will not be returned) and mail to address above. Entry to SOYA is open only to citizens or permanent residents of Australia, aged 30 years and under. Please submit in RTF or Word only.
  • CJ Dennis Literary and Poetry Award
    The winners of the CJ Dennis Literary Awards are announced during the CJ Dennis Festival, held annually in Auburn, SA, on the second weekend in September. Two literary categories: Short Story open; Short Story theme. Submissions are limited to 2,500 words for stories. Entries must be typed, double-spaced and accompanied by an entry disclaimer, which is available from the competition organiser.
  • Byron Bay Writers Festival
    Byron Bay Writers Festival is a time of celebration, exchange and reflection. This festival presents some of the finest writers from Australia and overseas in a program designed to amuse and stimulate in the best venue in the country, the beaches of Byron.
