Hi Racers,
Tonight's Writing Race is a cross-platform special, running from 5.30-7.30pm Eastern Standard Time.
Our AWMonline Racers will be joined here by our wonderful special guest, crime writer Katherine Howell. Prizes for the most words written include free subscriptions to AWMonline!!
Our QWC Racers at the State Library of Qld will be joined by special guest authors Kim Wilkins, Michael Gerard Bauer, and Simon Groth.
Which team will reign supreme??
This is our last Writing Race for 2010 - come along and join the fun!

Hey there, Rachel!
I'm going to be the online co-captain tonight, alongside Katherine.
The way it'll work online - we encourage everyone to be logged on by 5:30pm for a pre-race chat. The race itself will begin at 5:45pm. We'll race through until 7:15pm, at which time I'll ask you all to report on your final wordage. There'll be prizes for those with the most!
Half time works as per usual - we'll have refreshments and quotes from the lovely Katherine. Half time will be at 8:30pm. |

| I am doing Nano, for my third year :) But this is the first time i have ever been close to finishing, so I'm pretty excited about that (especially because i was behind for most of it). Nano has definitely helped to motivate me to write, maybe not write my best haha but i have a lot of words down :) |

Fantastic! Nano can really help get the word count up, and as I'm always telling myself, once a draft is there you can do something with it but YOU CAN'T FIX A BLANK PAGE.
