Upcoming Competitions/Events

  • Writing History Festival
The History Festival at the NSW Writers’ Centre is an opportunity to celebrate writing stories about the past. There are panels on everything: creating drama from real stories, questions of authority in historical fiction, researching stories from real-life politics or crime, finding out about family history, biography and local/community writing.
  • AWGIE Awards
The AWGIE Awards are for excellence in screen, television, stage and radio writing. Scripts must have been produced in the preceding year. The Awards are unique in being the only writers' awards judged solely by writers. Awards and nominations are based on the written script - the writer's intention - not the finished product.
  • Prime Minister's Literary Awards
